As Far As Ethos, which has to do with the the views of a particular person, group, or community, I would have to focus my attention on sports. It happens dozens of times a year and will continue to happen until the end of time, I would have to be speaking teams, professional and college, searching for their next head coach. Every Single time a team fires a coach or one resigns, a huge political game begins between fans and administrators to find the right fit for that team. Blogs are created, message boards are peppered, and every fan that has a subscription to rivals.com blurt out their views and opinions about potential candidates, some comments are fueled by egos, some by emotion, others blatant lies. usually its just people saying what they want without regard or even knowing anything about candidates. Examples of recent are that of Chizik, the new Auburn hire. Charles Barkley immediately opens his mouth saying that the only reason Auburn hired him was cause he was white and the other candidate was black. After his comments he became intoxicated and got a DUI.
Message boards would be a much more reliable source of information if the only people who posted knew information instead of bullshitting and speculating
